Controlling 2015 Panel Discussion Annoucement: Modernizing SAP Financials and Controlling

ERP Corp is pleased to announce that we have added a Panel Discussion: Modernizing SAP Financials and Controlling to the conference session line up. The panel will be a plenary session, providing an opportunity for every conference attendee to attend and engage in a lively discussion. 


The topic of the panel is Modernizing SAP Financials and Controlling. In this panel discussion, our panel of SAP Controlling and Financial experts from a variety of backgrounds including SAP HANA and Simple Finance will explore the following central question: What does modernizing financials mean to you? Panelists include:

Julien Delvat is a principal consultant at Alta Via Consulting and specializes in Product Costing and New Product Introduction/Quotation solutions including PDCE and Rapid Deployment Services for SAP HANA CO-PA Accelerator. He has more than 10 years of experience in SAP Controlling and got his start as a developer for CO maintenance and development at SAP Labs France. Julien now implements management accounting best practices across industries and continents. He is a frequent speaker at SAP conferences and is the Chair of the ASUG Managerial Accounting Special Interest Group. He lives in Miami, FL with his wife and two children. 

 

Sydnie McConnell is the lead SAP business systems analyst for Finance at Woodward, which integrates leading-edge technologies into fuel, combustion, fluid, actuation, and electronic control systems for the aerospace and energy markets. Sydnie has over 14 years of experience with SAP Financials, both as a cost accountant and a systems analyst. She’s worked on a variety of complex projects, focusing on SAP Controlling, including several global SAP ERP and BPC implementations.

 

Kevin Reilly is the ASUG Community Advocate for S/4HANA, the retired CIO of Eby-Brown (a $5+ billion dollar wholesale distribution company), and founder of Team Reilly. Reilly is a technology leader with global experience in delivering a seamless enterprise through strategy, structure, talent, and best-cost solutions. He has the unique ability to understand business challenges, simplify complex situations, and provide technology leadership to accelerate market growth. As a recognized change agent in turnaround and high growth situations combined with P&L general management experience, Kevin has experience in the electronics, distribution/logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, and telecommunications industries.

 

Janet Salmon is the Chief Product Owner for Management Accounting at SAP AG. Janet is known to many SAP Financials professionals for her writings on Controlling and related subjects in SAP Financials Expert. She is the author of Controlling with SAP – Practical Guide, Accelerated Financial Closing with SAP, and SAP HANA for ERP Financials 2nd Edition. Janet has overseen many SAP Controlling functionality product developments both as a Product and Solution Manager. Most recently she spearheaded changes to the user interfaces within Controlling and data transfer from Controlling to SAP HANA.

 

John Reed is an independent analyst, SAP Mentor Alumni and Enterprise Irregular who blogs and video-casts on enterprise trends. He is a co-founder of diginomica.com. Launched in the spring of 2013, diginomica provides original commentary focused on the digital enterprise. In his client work, Jon advises companies on enterprise go-to-market and use of multi-media and inbound marketing to break away from ineffective push marketing. Jon is a founding member of the HANA Distinguished Engineers Council, a community-led organization focused on identifying and developing HANA expertise to support new projects. Jon is the publisher of five non-fiction books, including "Ultimate SAP User Guide." He is part of the ERP Corp founding team for the Controlling conference series.
